French Lace

French lace is thick, durable, and detectable. If you are rough with your lace wig or remove it (that is if it is applied with adhesives) very frequently such as every other day, a French lace will be a great choice.

  • Pros: durable
  • Cons: thick, detectable, uncomfortable, not breathable, not suitable for summer use

Korean Lace

Korean lace, as the name suggests, comes from South Korea. Compared with the

two laces mentioned above, Korean lace is less used in wigs, and even many people have never heard of it.It is stronger and able to hold far denser and far longer hair, but less undetectable.

  • Pros : durable
  • Cons: thick, detectable, uncomfortable, not breathable, not suitable for summer use

Swiss Lace

Swiss lace is finer than French lace and blends better with the skin for a less visible appearance. It’s great if you like it at the front for a natural hairline. This type of lace is not as durable as the French lace but it’s the more undetectable one.

  • Pros : breathable ,undetectable,comfortable,natural
  • Cons: delicate

HD Lace

The original and most undetectable lace type is direct from Switzerland. It’s also known to be used by Celebrities and well-known entertainers. And it is recognized as the best quality of lace used to make lace wigs. This is because it is much softer than the normal lace that is used. What’s more, HD Lace Wig is thinner which helps make it harder to detect and can look even more realistic because of this. On the flip side, it can be slightly more fragile because of the thinness and is also a bit more expensive.

  • Pros : soft , natural,breathable, thinnest in quality
  • Cons : delicate

How to choose the most suitable lace?

Lace color

You need to match the lace color with your scalp complexion, not your skin tone because when you part the wig, you want it to appear as your natural scalp color. So to check your scalp color part of your hair and look at the color of your scalp to determine your lace color.

We suggest you choose the lace color following these guidelines – Lace Choice Color:

  • Transparent: For White, Off White, or Cream scalp tones.
  • I.e. Liv Tyler, Jessica Simpson, Jenna Jameson, Charlize Theron, etc.
  • Light Brown: For Light Brown scalp tones.
  • Ie. Tyra Banks, Beyonce, Alica Keys, Rihanna
  • Medium Brown: For Light Beige or Beige scalp tones.
  • Ie: Ciara, Eva Mendez, Eva Longoria
  • Dark Brown: For Dark Brown scalp tones.
  • Ie. Naomi Campbell, Serena Williams, Kelly Rowland

Recently, the transparent lace wig is very popular in the market, and many people may also follow the trend to choose wigs with transparent lace. But what we want to say is that the transparent color of the lace is not suitable for everyone because transparent does not mean clear. You may see the undertone is still going to be white no matter how much makeup you put on it. Before choosing, consider whether it is suitable for you.

Lace type

Each material has its own pros and cons compared to other materials. French lace is durable but thick detectable; Swiss lace is finer and a superb lace for the front while more tough in strength; Korean Lace is able to hold far denser and far longer hair, but less undetectable; HD Lace is soft and provides the most natural appearance, but a bit expensive.

Among these lace materials, we highly recommended the HD Lace due to its perfect using experience. Many people ask, ‘Is buying HD Lace Wig worth it?’ We say ‘Yes!’, especially when provided with a reasonable price from DIVASWIGS. If you want a natural-looking and comfortable experience, then HD Lace Wig must be a great choice!
